The Cove Is Coming To Animal Planet!
I’ve been wondering, now that the film is done and has made the rounds, what comes next for the activists and masterminds behind The Cove? How do they/we continue to put public pressure on Taiji and stop them from slaughtering dolphins? Well, the creators of The Cove have no interest in stepping down off their podium. And thank goodness for that. A new television series is coming to Animal Planet. The series starts where the film stopped and will chronicle activist Ric O’Barry’s fight against the dolphin slaughter in Taiji, Japan. For those of you who may not know, the documentary this new show is based on just won the Oscar for best documentary.
I don’t even have a t.v. but I can assure you that I’ll find a way to watch this new show. It doesn’t have an air date yet. I’ll keep you posted. Two episodes have been shot so far. My hope is that it keeps the pressure on and eventually, stops the dolphins slaughter completely.
