About

Ali Berman has been a devoted animal rights activist since she was 11 years old and decided to stop eating animals. She has continuously altered and tweaked her life to make more compassionate decisions. And not just for animals. Being veg isn’t just a change in diet. It’s a way of looking at the world. Ali loves sharing the ways she has discovered to be a better global citizen with others. And living veg has been the arrow pointing the way to a more humane life.

In 2006 Ali was fortunate enough to find a position at Animal Welfare Trust where she works as a grant administrator. She also spends much of her time working as a humane educator for H.E.A.R.T., a humane education organization that teaches children about issues affecting people, animals and the environment.

Ali is also a regular blogger for Ecorazzi.

In addition to her work as an activist, Ali has her MFA in writing from Sarah Lawrence College. Her fiction has been published in a variety of journals.

Gary Ploski manages Livin Veg’s web presence. He’s also her amazing husband and a talented actor. Visit his site to learn more. Also, follow him on twitter.
